(I think I can make a thread here right if not u can spray me with water. Anyone can join in- please do)
Sparrowheart wove her way down a gentle slope, tail held out behind her. The molly had her muzzle in the air, picking up whatever scents she could. Above her, the trees provided a welcome amount of shade and cover. Occasionally, a bird would coo and its neighbor, setting off a chorus of chirps and squawks.
The ground was still wet under her paws from overnight, and the sunhigh had not even arrived yet. Nonetheless, Sparrowheart had set out to the far north of the territory today while she had some time on her own for one reason- to explore. She had set off from the camp, told a couple cats where she was headed, and set a quick pace to be able to get here as quick as she could.
The Cross-stones were a strange place, and somewhat eerie. The atmosphere was almost sad in Sparrowheart's opinion, with the twoleg nests standing unused all alone, and the silent beaten thunderpaths remaining silent. Sometimes, the medicine cat came up here for herbs that grew near the abandoned twoleg houses, but most cats made a point of keeping a cordial distance from the strange structures. However, the closer you got to them, the more strange and interesting objects would start to appear.
Shiny items or simply impossibly smooth objects, some big enough to crush her, and some small enough for her to be able to take one in her mouth and carry it home. Sparrowheart's intention today was just that- to lurk around the Cross-stone's until she found a neat souvenir or got bored.
