Appearance: Comfreycloud has an average build, but one of his paws is twisted. He has short, pale gray fur colored like ash left after a fire, and bright, orange eyes, like a golden dawn. His claws are short, his tail is long, and his legs are long.
Personality: Comfreycloud is a forgetful tom, having a bad memory. However, this does not stop him from being a decent medicine cat to his clan. He often walks to get his herbs, because he is fairly bad at running, due to his twisted foot. He loves making up riddles for the younger kits to solve, mainly to challenge their minds. However, sometimes his riddles are too easy or hard for kits to solve, so he often has trouble coming up with one, and then just decides not to even bother think of one and do his duties.
History:
Comfreycloud was born to Goldenflower and Cloudfur along with his siblings Gingerkit, Dapplekit, Cedarkit, Oddkit and Mallowkit during a harsh, cold leaf-bare. All the kits in his litter were born deformed: He himself had a twisted foot, Dapplekit had a bent tail, Mallowkit had a missing eye, Cedarkit had a stubby tail and a missing ear, and poor Oddkit was dead from the day he was born, missing two legs and an eye. Comfreykit never learned of his brother's death, and nor did his siblings.
During his kithood, his mother never really watched him, for she had gave up the nursery to be a warrior again, and thus Comfreykit was nursed by a different she-cat, Creampelt. His siblings were very adventurous, while he was sheltered by his foster mother far too often to see what experiences his siblings would have. When Creampelt was busy, however, he often spied on the previous medicine cat, Palestripe, while she sorted herbs. Fascinated by the world of herbs, he decided to ask the pale colored she-cat if he could be her next apprentice, after Darkpaw, her last apprentice, fell off a cliff. Reluctantly, she agreed.
During his time as an apprentice to Palestripe, it was not easy. With the amount of herbs and their remedies and his forgetfullness clashing, he often forgot what herb cured what. As a result, he did poorly compared to his siblings. But he knew that he could suceed, but he put in a poor effort. When Comfreypaw realized this, he focused more harder, and soon he was made as a full medicine cat under the name Comfreycloud.
His siblings, Cedartail, Mallowheart, Gingerpelt and Dapplefur all did well, but right after her warrior ceremony, a badger attack struck the clan, and poor Dapplefur lost her life during the battle. Comfreycloud was grieving for her, but his siblings didn't care for the deceased tortoiseshell, all except for Mallowheart. Surprisingly, Mallowheart died not long after Dapplefur did. However, Comfreycloud never found out about Mallowheart's death until Cloudfur, now an elder, informed him what happened. Comfreycloud was shocked, but did not grieve for his brother as much as he did for Dapplefur.
When the harsh leaf-bare came, Gingerpelt dissapeared, and Palestripe and Cloudfur died. Since then, Comfreycloud has been looking up to StarClan for a sign of a new, temporary home for his clan. However, his hope for survival grows less each day, as no signs show of a chance of a new home for his clan.
