Appearance
Cherrypaw is a pure white cat. Her pink nose and ears are easily distinguished. She has a fluffy pelt and is small in size. Her beautiful eyes are an impressive dark forest green. She has large ears, a short tail, long legs and tiny paws. She has a rather round build that is clearly seen in her cheeks. Her whiskers are as white as her pelt.
Personality
Shy and timid, Cherrypaw is adventurous, alert, and eager to learn. She lacks confidence and is quite cowardly, but she is focused and helpful. She is not particularly friendly, typically acting bossy around others. When working with medicine, she is not gentle nor is she patient. Cherrypaw keeps neat, acting as somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to the medicine storage. She is resourceful and responsible, but can in times act opinionated and selfish. She is thorough, sometimes a bit too much so, and her manner of thinking can be complex and odd. Cherrypaw can be stubborn and difficult to deal with.
Skills
Cherrypaw is very agile, skilled at balance and leaping. She is decent at tracking, able to locate and differientiate herbs and scents. The minor skills that a Medicine Cat would not need as much, hunting and fighting, are clearly not her strong suits. She doesn't want to fight, and she has a hard time remembering hunting moves and techniques. Cherrypaw knows how to swim in shallow water. She is intelligent but has poor stamina.
History
Cherrykit was born to Yellowtail's sister Greyfoot and an unknown second parent. She was littermates with Mallowkit and Chervilkit. They were born in a calm Leaf-fall season, but lived their kithood throughout Leaf-bare. Greyfoot was killed in this harsh Season by Greencough, and the three kits were adopted by Yellowtail. She was able to care for them, and the kits only had two moons to go before apprenticeship. The harsh Snowmelt flood in Newleaf took more lives, including Cherrykit's littermates, and she helped Burnetleaf with injured Warriors and cats recovering from Leaf-bare illnesses. She wanted to become the Medicine Cat's apprentice once she realized she had found her calling. She loved helping cats, and she wanted a connection to the Stars. Cherrykit became Burnetleaf's apprentice, Cherrypaw, near the end of Newleaf. She had a hard time at first, getting used to many herbs and techniques was more difficult than she thought. But she has an excellent memory, and she has the more basic and common medicines down. Cherrypaw has no interests in close relationships, and she doesn't feel like the Warrior code's rule against Medicine cats with mates is unfair. She has no preferences and understands the code is there to prevent favoritism and irresponsibility. She is doing fine now, and hasn't had to deal with any recent casualties.
Roleplay
"Let's see... Chamomile, Sorrel..." Cherrypaw neatly organized the herbs in the rocky dents of the Medicine Den by what the herb does, which is clearly the most sensible way to keep medicines. It might look nice to have all types of berries in one location, but berry types could get mixed together. What if you gave a cat Holly Berries instead of Juniper Berries? Hollies aren't necessarily fatal to larger cats, but they can still be poisonous. They are used for similar effects as Yarrow, but a higher fatality rate on kits. She grouped Honey, Horsetail, Marigold and Sedge together. "What else soothes infections..." maybe she'd ask her mentor. She exited the Medicine den and looked around. Other apprentices walked by and gave sweet hellos, but she narrowed her eyes and looked away. She didn't have time for friendships. "W-where is Burnetleaf?" she asked to nobody in particular, but hopefully loud enough that any cat in the vicinity could hear and answer.
