Name: Witch Hazel
Age: 18 moons
Gender: Molly
Allegiance: Loner
Picture: [x]
Appearance: Witch Hazel is a small cat with dainty paws, a short-ish fluffy tail, and a pretty angled face. She has soft, fluffy medium length fur, mainly coloured with a brown marbled tabby pattern. The brown is a light creamy brown, with splashes of round dark chocolate stripes. Her belly, chest, throat, muzzle and nose, and about halfway up each leg is an exception from the tabby, each coloured white. Witch Hazel's large, round eyes are a yellow-y brown.
Currently, her belly is swollen with kits.
Personality: Having grown up as a kittypet, Witch Hazel is pretty clueless to most things. She's lived in a bubble of safety and ignorance her whole life, and it shows in the way she acts. She is very trusting, having been given no reason not to trust most cats. (Though she will be intimated by scary-looking cats, as she's not totally spacey.) This makes her a friendly cat who is easy to get along with, so when combined with her talkativeness and good nature, she definitely makes friends easily. But her naivety may lead her into dangerous situations now that she is no longer living in the safety of the twolegplace. Though she is trusting of individual cats, she is skeptical of things that are unfamiliar to her, and will generally need to see something before she believes it. She is compassionate, sympathizing easily with other cats, and is willing to help others in whatever way she can. But her ignorance may lead her to not understand the problems faced by cats who weren't raised in the cushy life of a kittypet. She is extroverted, liking to spend as much time as possible with her friends and chatting with other cats. She has enough knowledge of hunting to catch some prey, as she had practice catching birds and mice in the twolegplace, but she has absolutely no idea how to fight, and has never been in a fight in her life.
History: Witch Hazel was born a kittypet. Her mother was a kittypet, and her father was unknown. For the first few moons of Witch Hazel's life, she lived with her mother and her two brothers. It was her mother who named her Witch Hazel. The twolegs called her something else, but she didn't really pay attention to what is was they called her. Once she was weaned, it was a matter of weeks before different twolegs came to the twoleg nest she lived in, and took her away. At first she was scared, and missed her mom and siblings. But her new twolegs were kind to her, and she quickly settled in.
While she and her mother had been forbidden from going outside at her old home, her new twolegs let her come and go through a flap door in the big door. Outside, she made friends with other kittypets who were allowed outside. Here, she heard stories of tough cats who lived with no twolegs to care for them, in the deep alleys of the twolegplace. And she heard stories of even tougher cats, who didn't even live within the twoleg-built structures, and instead lived far out in the wilderness. Witch Hazel was skeptical of such things, having only known her life with twolegs. Even the concept of a place without twoleg nests seemed dubious to her.
Witch Hazel's life as she grew up, was an average kittypet life. This last winter, she spent most of her time inside, as it was too cold to want to go out. But now that the sun is shining and the grass is green, she began spending almost all her time outside. And caught up in the spirit of new life, (and spending time hanging out with toms...) by the beginning of greenleaf, she found herself expecting kits. Soon enough, her twolegs noticed the swelling in her belly. They seemed angry, making loud noises at her and scowling. Witch Hazel had no idea what she had done wrong. And a few days after they had found out, she found herself loaded into their big metal monster. It started moving, and she watched, held on one of the twoleg's laps, as the places she had explored every day zoomed past, and then as the twoleg nests petered out, into fields and trees. And then, farther away from home than she had ever been, in a place completely unfamiliar to her, the monster slowed down. And then, the twoleg cracked open the entrance to the monster, and tossed Witch Hazel out. By the time she turned around, the panel on the monsters side had already slammed shut, and it was speeding up again, moving away from where Witch Hazel was left. She was completely bewildered, and alone, and completely unfamiliar with her surroundings. Little did she know, she was right on the edge of PineClan territory...
