Alters

Thanks to v5, we now have the Alters plugin. This means you can post with your character's information in the Mini-profile next to the post, instead of your own, by selecting from a drop-down menu. However, only staff can edit alters, so once your bio is accepted we'd like you to post with this form.

You may also post here to have anything in your alter changed at any time.

You may use this thread to test your alter when staff gives you the ok. It will be cleaned periodically.

Posting an Alter example for clarification. Once you fill out your form, we will edit your picture to a 150x150 avatar and then fill out the v5 plugin which is available only to mods / admins. once your alter has been filled out and saved, there will be a drop-down menu next to "post quick reply" that lets you switch between your alters. I have seven, one for each of my characters. While Roleplaying, you post as the alter for the character you are Roleplaying as.

Alters is mostly good, I think, for preventing confusion, and making everything nicer, especially in a multi-Clan thread like a Gathering or a Border Fight. It can also help players to quickly find your characters' name in case they've forgotten or gotten your character mixed up with someone else.

I've cleaned up the thread. All alters thus far have been entered in. As Cobalt mentioned, this thread is cleaned periodically, as to not overcrowd it with testing posts and we can keep track of who has had their alters created. The only posts that will stay up are Cobalt's original post (obviously) and my example post so members know what Alters are, and my own opinion on their use. And this one I guess, unless I feel like deleting it later for whatever reason.
