Name: Lightningstar
Age (in moons): 29 moons
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Grassclan
Appearance: Lightningstar has short and solid, pale yellow fur except for a small patch of white fur on her nose. Her eyes are narrow and a light amber in color. Lightningstar’s build is long and slender, from her ears to her tail. Lightningstar’s paw pads are a light pink in color, her paws are quite large too. Her nose is a dark grey and her long ears have quite a few nicks in them. Her tail is long and thin.
Personality: Lightningstar has a tendency to be caught in her own thoughts more often than not, sometimes these thoughts are just her over thinking simple things. You could ask her how the weather is and she would over think it. She may not talk much but she will listen to anyone's gossip, problems or rambles no matter what. She's seemingly very aloof and seems hard to approach. It's extremely difficult to get her angry. She prefers to ignore verbal or physical disputes as much as possible, she hates when she's dragged into something such as this. Although she hates fights/disputes if she feels it needs to be broken up she will try to do so, peacefully. Lightningstar is very diligent and will always try her best even with the most simple tasks, such as gathering moss.
History:
Kit:
Even when Lightningstar was a kitten she had been pretty introverted, though now she welcomes others to come speak to her she isn’t always sure how to respond. Lightningstar’s family was fairly small; her mother’s name was Honeyfur, she had a brother named Lilykit and her father was unknown as per her mother’s request. Even though she prefers not to squabble or fight (amongst clanmates and even other clans if it is verbal) she was constantly butting heads with her brother Lilykit. His outgoing personality but insensitivity to what other kits wanted to do had caused a rift between her and her brother even as kits. Honeyfur was very stern when it came down to rules and somewhat rough around the edges but she was a good mother that tried her best to keep her children from doing something dangerous or the like. Nothing too exciting had happened to her in kithood but she’s perfectly fine with that.
Apprentice:
She had been given the mentor Sootpelt, a stern seasoned warrior of thirty-four moons when she turned six moons. As she worked with her mentor she had begun to become more serious rather than just quiet. Lightningpaw had not always seen eye to eye with her mentor but she respected her. She always tried her best as an apprentice whether it was gathering moss or being taught how to hunt prey she was very dedicated to trying to become better for her clan. While not the best at hunting and not the strongest she made good use of her long limbs (though awkward at the time) and speed. The first time she was told to hunt something by herself she was excited but nervous all at the same time but she managed to catch herself a decent sized sparrow. When she had shown her Mentor she had gotten a guffaw and sarcastic pat on the back, though she knew her mentor wouldn’t give her a huge welcoming appraisal she accepted the sarcasm as it was. Lightningpaw had begun to try and impress her mentor through her actions, always trying to do better than before. Before long she had begun to make a few mistakes as she had been too focused on getting praise rather than hunting for the survival of her clan, getting a few snippy comments from her mentor. She had gotten upset with herself as she couldn’t accomplish even winning over her mentor but decided it was for the best. She relied heavily on her speed and stealth when it came to hunting though she still couldn’t always catch something, that seemed to be the name of the game. Her brother may have not have change too much, he was still pretty oblivious to people’s feelings but at least he tried to tone it down. She didn’t really get into any more fights with her brother but mainly because they rarely spoke. Her mother had decided to stay in the nursery and help any queen new or old.
Warrior:
When she received her warrior name Lightningfoot she was twelve and half moons old and couldn’t be happier she thanked her mentor whom gave an awkward chuckle brushing her off, she knew she was proud. Her mother was proud of her children as well, her brother had been given the name of Lilyface. When she had sat vigil that night she reflected upon her life and all that she had done worried maybe she hadn’t pushed herself enough. The morning had come slowly or her and her brother and her eye’s felt heavy but she was glad that nothing had happened on her vigil.
Her life as a warrior consisted mostly of patrols until she got an apprentice at twenty-first moon, Ratpaw. Ratpaw was a small timid thing. She had been nervous unsure of how to approach being a mentor to another, her thoughts seemed to drown her but she pushed herself to be the best she could. They didn’t necessarily click right away as they were both quiet and seemed to keep to themselves. As she opened up to him and began to course him into practice’s he slowly began to open up to her, devoting himself to training soon enough. She had grown to love this apprentice as if he were family as she taught him all she learned from her mentor. He slowly came out of his shell not just with her becoming more confident in his abilities as she guided him to the best of her abilities. She felt a sting of pride in her gut a feeling she couldn’t forget. She felt as though the time they had together was short as he was given his warrior name at twelve moons. Shortly after he had received his name her mother had gotten sick and was soon taken by the illness. She was sad and she felt bad she had shown no outwardly signs she was upset but she figured that was life; here one day gone the next.
She was given the title of deputy when Waspstar became Leader.
