Rules for character creation:
Always check the news for what characters are needed.
Sometimes there may be an imbalance of Clan members, cats of a certain gender, or rank, and more characters of that type may be needed.
Always look to the official form when applying.
You may use a different form, but it must contain all information the official form asks for.
There is a system where you can buy locked types of characters with Prey Points.
Please refer to this thread for information on Prey Points and a list of locked cats.
Non-heterosexual characters are allowed.
These were previously only available through PP, but because they were difficult to obtain there was a lack of diversity. We still ask that you are careful and don't rely on stereotypes - if any members find your portrayal to be offensive you will be asked to change it. Our Clans are pretty accepting, for the most part!
You may not play your own character's apprentice, mentor, or mate.
This prevents RPing with yourself, which is quite dull to read. You may decide you would like two of your own characters to be mates/apprentice and mentor and do a public or private adoption of your character. If you are adopting out your character, use the "Adoption" sub-board under Cat Stuff. Private adoptions should be posted there just as a notification to other members that a cat's RPer is changing.
Names are to be Traditional names.

This forum is a fictional English setting and thus only English-setting Flora (Juniper-), Fauna (Mouse-), and Weather (Rain-) Prefixes may be used; as well as colors (Red-), non-living objects (Stone-), size (Tiny-), and name-change (Broken-) Prefixes.
Remember: if it is listed on Ailuronymy, it can be used. If you wish to use a certain prefix that is not listed, do your research to backup that it may be used in an English setting, and it will be allowed.
You may have up to two high positions.
These include leader, deputy, medicine cat, and medicine cat apprentice. They must be in different Clans. We ask that you have at least three in-character posts before making one.
You may have up to 5 characters total.
Additional slots may be purchased for PP.
