Name: Darkstorm
Age: 14 moons
Gender: male
Allegiance: PineClan (warrior)
Appearance: Darkstorm is an extremely dark brown tabby tom. He has thick, long fur and amber eyes. He has long whiskers and strong, broad shoulders. He has a deep tear in his left ear from a previous border fight that he was part of.
Personality: Darkstorm can be a cat with a very unpredictable attitude to other cats, but to him the way he acts makes perfect sense. Most of the time he can be very easy to get along with, he's very social and enjoys making jokes. He likes seeing other cats happy. However, if someone makes him mad he will unleash everything on them (and hold a grudge). He hates anything that hurts him mentally- if something makes him sad, he won't be sad for long, instead he'll find something or someone to blame. He can be a wonderful friend, but he could also be the most hateful, and violent, enemy if it comes to that (and the line for him can be thin at times). For anyone he considers on his side, he will be the most loyal and devoted to. He expects the same in return.
History:
Kit: Dark-kit was born into a litter of three, his two siblings being Mousekit, a tom, and Honeykit, a molly. They grew up without a father, and it was unclear to them why. By the way their mother, a cat named Birchface, talked it was obvious their father was still alive. Birchface said he was too busy for kits at the time. For the three kits that translated into: he didn't want kits. Dark-kit took this especially hard, but tried to hide it from his littermates. He didn't want to upset them. It was clear that he was upset, though- whenever curious talk or rumors spread up about his father his attitude would immediatly turn for the worse. After about two months Mousekit caught greencough and died. Being unsure about how to handle his emotions, he didn't talk to anyone for a few days- his silence only being broken by Honeykit convincing him to help her pull a prank on the apprentices (placing a bunch of burrs in their den and bedding while they were out training). The two were scolded, but Birchface was glad that Dark-kit was talking and seemingly happy again. Nearing their fifth moon, Birchface also died of greencough. Watching over them on their last moon in the nursery was shared between the lasting queens in the clan.
Apprentice: Darkpaw and Honeypaw became apprentices at 6 moons, the usual. These two liked to compete with each other a lot during their apprenticeship- but not on their training. No, their competition was to see who could pull the best prank. Looking at their training, they both did well. Honeypaw was an excellent hunter with a great sense of balance. Darkpaw was better at fighting, although he was a decent hunter. He couldn't come to trust the branches as much as Honeypaw did, so he preferred hunting ground prey. This is also the time when Darkpaw started to joke around a lot, also enjoying to drop confusing hints to his sister as to what his next prank would be. She considered herself better than that, never giving him a single glance as to when or what her next trick could be. They could go to sleep completly normal, and the next morning wake up to find burrs in his pelt. Darkpaw's best prank was when he tried to convince Honeypaw that she was invisible, getting most of the clan to play along with him (it was ruined when one of the less playful warriors informed Honeypaw what was happening). Honeypaw's greatest prank was waking up Darkpaw by scaring him- claiming their was a snake in their den. Darkpaw woke up to find a thick stem on his side, for a second he was surprized enough to believe her. It didn't last.
Later on in their apprenticeship came the hunting assessment. Darkpaw was doing well. He had managed to catch a vole, a mouse, and after much struggling he had caught a squirrel by climbing a tree. He had time to catch one more bit of prey, so he was stalking a bird. A distant screech sent it flying away. Darkpaw was surprised as the bird at first, standing stiff as his thoughts decided the direction it had come from. He knew who this was, though. That was Honeypaw's voice. Still a bit angry about the snake prank, Darkpaw decided this was another joke. He continued to look for another piece of prey to hunt. He only started to doubt himself when Honeypaw's mentor's yowl cut the air. Without another thought he ran in the direction the sounds were coming from. By then it was too late. Honeypaw was laying on the ground, covered in blood and not moving. Her mentor was badly injured, and barely able to stand. The fox was gone leaving its stench behind. Darkpaw's mentor helped the injured warrior back to camp while Darkpaw did his best to drag his sister back. He refused to leave her side. After a while Darkpaw's mentor had to fetch the caught prey without his apprentice, so the fox wouldn't take it. A warrior patrol was sent out to take care of the fox, but Darkpaw didn't pay much attention to if they actually got it or not. He didn't blame the fox for what had happened to his sister. He blamed himself for not coming to fight beside her when she needed him. He blamed himself for his ignorance and not believing her. The pranks stopped. For the next moon he spent all of his energy focused on his training, trying not to think about Honeypaw. Trying not to let it hurt. He failed, letting out his anger on an apprentice from another clan who had accidentally crossed the border. That's how he got the deep tear in his left ear, but the other cat got a bit more markings than he did. He was punished for the "unnecessary" fight, having to take care of the elders for a moon and having his warrior ceremony delayed. This is when he decided that he would have to put Honeypaw's death behind him and focus on the good of the clan, and the other members of the clan. He started joking around again. It was true he loved to see others happy, because he didn't want them feeling like he did when Honeypaw died. This is why he also hates being alone, because it gives him time to think about what happened to Honeypaw- what he never did manage to forgive himself for.
Warrior: He was made a warrior at 13 moons, despite the fact his training had gone very well. It was a punishment for the fight he had started at the border. He accepted that. He was named Darkstorm, for his quick turning attitude. Now he craves to make Honeypaw proud, hoping that she could forgive him when it's his turn to walk among the stars.
