An Interview with Aspencloud

What is your name?
I am Aspencloud.
How old are you in months?
I am about 25 moons.
What gender are you?
I am a male.
What is your allegiance and ranking?
I am the medicine cat of PineClan.
Describe your appearance.
My base fur color is a pale grey, but I have black tabby stripes. I have deep green eyes. I also have these small black tufts of fur sticking up from my ear tips. I have strong, broad shoulders and long claws, but I dont use them often.
How would you describe your personality?
I am gentle on my patients. They are already in pain so they dont need me to be upset with them. I try to be calm in all situations, and patient. When cats are rushed they tend to mess up, as a medicine cat I dont have room for that. I have been told that I am very observant and that I notice what most warriors would miss, but I guess thats just me looking for signs. I tend to be easy going and can take a laugh often, but I will be serious when I need to be. I try to never give up. I guess you could say that to not give up is my motto. I see over the boundaries as many medicine cats do, but I will always be loyal to my clan.
What has happened to you in your past? What is your history?
I guess I should start from when I was a kit. You see, I was the only kit born in my litter. This made my mother very determined to make me a warrior. Very determined. She was always doing these strange quizzes on me to make sure I knew the warrior code by heart, the past of the clans and how they were formed, and even taught me a few battle moves. Some of the apprentices were jealous because of how much I knew as a kit, but I did not mind. I enjoyed it.
When I was apprenticed I started training to become a warrior. I learned quickly and I was good at it. Cats in that clan were starting to talk about what a great warrior I would become, and my mother would always brag about it. Even though everything seemed like it should be right, I was not happy and I could never figure out why.
Then I came down with a bad case of green cough. I was stuck in the medicine cats den for a while. I remember how helpless I felt when I was sick. I despised it. I never wanted anyone to feel like that. To be so sick you cant even stand, and every breath you take making your chest burn. When I recovered I decided I wanted to become a medicine cat.
I talked with the leader of the clan and the medicine cat, and the proper ceremony took place. I was glad, but my mother was furious. She tried to make me change my apprenticeship back to a warriors with many reasons. She never succeeded. After I gained my full medicine cat name she stopped talking to me all together. Eventually she was killed by a fox that had wondered onto our territory. I sat with her all through that night, and she still wont talk to me even in StarClan. I guess that is alright. She will talk to me again when she is ready. Later on my medicine cat mentor retired to the elders den. Not long ago he died from old age. I will miss him, but at least I can talk to him every half-moon. Sharing tongues with StarClan is one of my favorite parts of being a medicine cat- but my overall favorite is being able to help my clan mates when they are in pain. To be able to help others when they need me most.
