I think it's kind of amusing how she's Spottedleaf's neice. First Firestar goes for Spottedleaf, then Sandstorm. When a character can't take one as their mate, sometimes they just go for a relative (such as the whole Cinderpelt/heart going for Lionblaze after she couldn't have Firestar)

this was not true with Ashfur, however

Sandstorm's character just really bugs me though. She was presented as so spunky and had such an attitude and was really confident in herself. And then she slips and ~*~ooh Mr. Fireheart, ooh~*~ saves her and suddenly she's all goo-goo-gah-gah and characterless I just

oh that's funny i didn't realize Sandstorm was Spottedleaf's niece until now. I was like "what" and then I remembered that Redtail is Spottedleaf's brother

ohmygod same Misty. She was the best molly ever and then just freaking Fireheart came along.
