A NOTE FOR THE NEWBS

TitClan is the silly side of Trying Times. Granted, we have a lot of silly sides, but this is particularly so. It is not at all serious, not a bit, so you're welcome to go wild or look on and regard us as weirdos. It's all cool.

If you see the chat blowing up and we all have "tit" in our names, that's a tit party. It's just a signal that we're all having a fantastic time. Change your name and goof off with us.

Nobody really remembers how it started, although it seems to have something to do with the fact that Tit- could probably actually be a traditional prefix in some areas. Basically we were all a little bit immature for a couple minutes and now it's a thing. Yeah.


HISTORY

Once upon a time some Clan cats got into Oregon (that general area anyway). We don't care how exactly because it doesn't matter. Maybe there were some clans formed nearby that broke up. The point is that there are some cats, familiar with Clan structure and traditions, and they're there. They found a nice forest and decided to settle down, in one massive Clan. That didn't work, and a rift began to form until the Great Break. One Clan became two rival Clans.

These two rival clans had several differing beliefs on how things should be run, but they were still pretty similar. They decided that they needed some way to reinforce clan loyalty, and they started by naming their clans. Since their territories were so similar, they named themselves after the local flora and fauna. One clan named themself Dichelostamma capitatum, also known as the Blue dick, and became DickClan. The other named themselves after a common variety of titmouse in their forest, which they referred to simply as tits, and became TitClan. They also began to use their clan names as nicknames of sorts, for example, Gooseheart of TitClan would be commonly referred to as Goosetit, and Sloeface of DickClan would be Sloedick. To become a warrior is to become able to participate in the nickname game. The two clans also developed a ton of dumb inside jokes but obviously TitClan's were always way better.

Sometimes TitClan and DickClan laugh about their names, for reasons even they don't know. It would be silly if they understood them in twoleg context, after all! And sometimes they wonder why there seem to be more mollies in TitClan and more toms in DickClan, but they just don't know.

And they were all such perfect cats that they lived happily ever after the end.
